We're here to help you make the most of your Score Titan scoreboard. Have a look at these answers to commonly asked questions and if you can't find the answer, send us a message and we'd be happy to help!

Setting up the scoreboard

What are the steps to setting up my scoreboard?

  1. Open the hooks while resting the scoreboard on a flat surface
  2. Open the flap (the magnets will catch to hold it in place)
  3. Hang the scoreboard on a fence
  4. Turn on the scoreboard

Where should I hang my scoreboard?

Position your scoreboard in a place where it is visible to fans and/or the team and doesn’t block the field.

At most ballparks, the best location for your scoreboard is near or inside the dugout, but use your best judgement based on the dynamics of the park you're playing on.

The scoreboard is very durable and can withstand a great deal of impact, but you should aim to keep it out of locations where it would be subject to getting hit frequently.

Never place the scoreboard inside the field of play and avoid areas behind home plate where it blocks the view and is directly in the line of fire for foul balls.

How do I adjust the brightness of my scoreboard?

Using the Score Titan app, once you are connected to your scoreboard, simply click the brightness icon and adjust to your desired brightness.

Connecting to your scoreboard

How do I connect to my Score Titan scoreboard?

You connect to your scoreboard using the Score Titan app. Before connecting, make sure:

  1. Your scoreboard is turned on
  2. Your phone has Bluetooth enabled and is connected to the internet
  3. You are authorized as a Scorekeeper

From there, simply follow the instructions on the app to connect.

If you have done the above and still do not see your scoreboard, force close your app (e.g. swipe up on iPhone) and try again.

How do I authorize people to be scorekeepers?

If you are the Scoreboard Admin, you can invite people to be scorekeepers. In your app, simply:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap on Manage scorekeepers
  3. Tap on Invite new scorekeeper

You can then enter an email to invite people as scorekeepers. Note: scorekeepers cannot invite scorekeepers. Only Scoreboard Admins can do so.

How do I adjust the brightness of my scoreboard?

Depending on conditions (e.g. sunny midday game or night game) you might wish to adjust the brightness of your scoreboard. Once you've connected to the scoreboard, just tap the brightness icon and adjust to your desired brightness.

Scoring the game

How do I score a game?

Score Titan’s scoring interface is designed to make scoring easy. The large area of each button adds and the minus symbol subtracts. It’s very simple to tap. The app is also “baseball smart”. It automatically does stuff like adding an out when a third strike is recorded, so you don’t have to.

If I want to take a break, can someone take over easily?

Absolutely! You can have multiple scorekeepers connected to the scoreboard at the same time, so it's very easy to take turns.

Take an inning each, take a batter each, take a zero guilt bio break! Everything about the Score Titan app is meant to make controlling the scoreboard a joy, not a chore.

How long does the battery last?

Similar to your cell phone, the battery life of your scoreboard is highly dependent on your brightness level. At a mid-level setting, the battery typically lasts for 12 hours; however, results may vary.

Does Score Titan integrate with GameChanger?

Not at this time, but we recognize the potential of such a partnership. Our application is designed with future integrations in mind, and if such an integration becomes available, we plan to make it accessible to all existing Score Titan scoreboards retroactively.

As a side note, teams have reported that the Score Titan scorekeeper and GC scorekeeper make a terrific team.

"Was that called a ball or a strike?" asked the GC scorekeeper, still unraveling the nuances of the previous play.

"It was a ball" responds the ST scorekeeper.

Maintaining your scoreboard

How often should I charge the battery?

Even if your battery has lots of charge left, for longterm battery health, it is good to charge it to 100% whenever you return home.

How long does it take to charge the battery?

While it depends on how much your battery is charged to begin with, it generally takes about 2-3 hours to charge from 0 to 100 percent.

Can I charge the battery with my phone charger?

No, it must be charged with the charger that ships with the scoreboard.

What happens if I Iose my charger?

Hey, don't worry about it. Just order a replacement and we'll ship you a new one.

If you feel like you might need more than one charger, feel free to order a backup charger as part of your scoreboard order.

How should I store my scoreboard during the offseason?

You should store your scoreboard in a safe, dry place where it will not get scuffed or damaged. To preserve the longevity of your battery, it is best to have your battery at about 80-90% when storing.

Managing scoreboards as an organization

How do I assign scoreboards to teams?

If you have purchased scoreboards as an organization, you have special administrative rights to assign your scoreboards to specific teams. Using your mobile app, simply:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap Manage scoreboards
  3. Tap Assign next to the scoreboard you wish to assign
  4. Enter the team name and assign a team administrator (the person on the team who will be responsible for the scoreboard, such as the head coach or team manager).
  5. Tap “Assign”. An invitation will be sent to the team administrator. If that person is not already registered with Score Titan, they will need to accept the invitation and register in order to perform the role of team administrator.

Can I reassign scoreboards?

Yes, you can reassign scoreboards to another team. Simply:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap Manage scoreboards
  3. Tap Edit next to the scoreboard you wish to reassign
  4. Tap Unassign Team Admin
  5. Proceed to assign the scoreboard to a new team

I'm an org admin. Why can't I connect to a scoreboard?

The org admin role is reserved for assigning scoreboards to teams. If you want to assign scorekeepers or keep score yourself, go to your app settings and make yourself the scoreboard's Team Admin.
